The apartments along the High Line and around the Yards have floor-to-ceiling windows, stone counters, glass showers and steel appliances, and every one of those surfaces shows construction dust badly. It's finer than household dust, hangs in the air, and resettles for days, so we clean in passes — bulk removal top-down, a second pass once it's resettled, then detail — squeegeeing the glass and cleaning the stone with a pH-neutral product on the final pass, and finishing floors last each time. New-construction punch-list cleans get the same treatment before a first walkthrough.

Then the residue: adhesive from the film that protected new counters and appliances, paint splatter on floors and fixtures, caulk smears on new tile, grout haze dulling a new bathroom.
